Hair loss can be a natural part of the ageing process, and most of the time, it's nothing to worry about. We can even lose up to 100 hairs on our bodies every day, without even noticing. But you could prolong the life of your locks by regularly using antioxidant-based shampoos, it's been revealed.
Losing your hair could be caused by a number of different conditions, said the NHS.
Stress, weight loss, or even an iron deficiency can lead to some form of hair loss.
But, there are some home treatments you can use that might help to prevent some types of hair loss, including alopecia.
One of the easiest ways to stimulate hair growth at home is to swap your usual shampoo and conditioner treatments, it's been claimed.

Shampoo and conditioners that contain antioxidant ingredients are a staple remedy for any hair loss patients, according to clinical trichologist Eva Proudman, who is vice chair of the Institute of Trichologists.
Antioxidants help to combat everyday stresses to your hair from pollution, the sun and some heating tools.
The best antioxidant shampoos contain either vitamin E, raspberries or blueberries.
If you'd prefer not to change your hair care routine, try adding more antioxidants to your diet.

"There are many factors that affect healthy hair and healthy hair growth," she told Express Health.
"The hair follicle is the second fastest dividing cell in the body requiring 25 percent of our daily protein intake for it to grow normally and be healthy.
"Hair can be damaged by the pollution in the environment, the sun, using heating styling tools and so much more.
"Eat foods containing antioxidants to help to combat this type of stress, dial down the heat when styling and last, but not least, look for good antioxidant ingredients in your shampoos and conditioners; vitamin E, goji berries, artichokes, raspberries and blueberries."
Meanwhile, you could also protect your hair by regularly using rosemary oil, it's been claimed.
Rosemary oil helps to stimulate new hair growth, while also being claimed to treat certain types of alopecia.
If you decide to use rosemary oil on your hair, simply combine it with a carrier oil - for example, coconut oil or vegetable oil.
You can then massage the oil directly onto your scalp on a daily basis.
Losing your hair isn't necessarily something to be worried about.
But on rare occasions, it could be a tell-tale sign of another medical condition.
You should speak to a doctor if you suddenly start losing your hair, or if you develop bald patches.
There are other treatments for hair loss - including transplants - but they aren't available on the NHS, and you'll need to pay for them.
